As President of the LCA, I am pleased to invite you to renew your membership or join the Longshore
Claims Association. Claims professionals and their resources
enjoy opportunities to consider important issues, increase knowledge and sharpen their expertise and
skills to be more effective as claims professions.
The Longshore Claims Association
(''LCA'') is a non-profit tax exempt, national association of individuals involved in the defense of claims under federal jurisdiction.
These include Admiralty and Maritime claims and claims under the Longshore & Harbor Workers'
Compensation Act and its extensions - Defense Base Act, Non-Appropriated Funds Instrumentalities
Act and Outer Continental Shelf Lands Act. Our goal is to promote excellence
in claims management through educational programs and legal advisories.
Membership is on an individual basis since we understand that it is you,
the individual claims professional, who maintains integrity and effectiveness within the industry. While we are
non-profit, dues are not considered charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes. They are considered ordinary and necessary business expenses. We welcome you
to become an active participant in the LCA.
